certified compostable
100% compostable
Biodegradation
Biodegradation is a chemical process in which materials are metabolised into water, carbon dioxide, and biomass with the help of microorganisms.
The process of biodegradation depends on the environmental conditions, which influence it (e.g. temperature, inoculum, humidity, etc.) and on the material or application itself.
bioplastic Certification
Certification ensures that the plastic can be composted and that all other components will also break down.
Our solutions meet all internationally recognized standards for compostable products.
international standards approved
EN 13432
European standard EN 13432 requires the compostable plastics to disintegrate after 12 weeks and completely biodegrade after six months.
ASTM D 6400
International standard covering plastics that are designed to be composted in municipal and industrial aerobic composting facilities.
AS 4736
Australian standard requires a minimum of 90% of plastic materials should disintegrate into less than 2mm pieces in compost within 12 weeks.
